Knowledge base assistant is an AI agent from Altramano for knowledge and research. An AI agent does a task that involves reading, assessing or writing, such as assessing an enquiry or drafting a reply. It puts it in front of you, or does it itself if you want it to.
What it does
- Reads the documents you give it: manuals, procedures, product sheets.
- Answers a colleague's question with a reference to the document and the page.
- Says so when the answer is not in the documents.
- Keeps track of which questions come often and where the answer is missing.
An example
- In
- A question in Teams: how do we set up the fault alert of type X for a new customer?
- Out
- The answer in four steps from your manual, with the link to the page.

Frequently asked questions
Does it invent answers?
No. It works only with your own documents and names the source. If it is not there, it says so.
What if two documents contradict each other?
Then it gives both and says they differ. You choose which is right and change the document.
Does everyone see all documents?
No. It keeps the rights of your environment. Anyone who may not see a document gets no answer from it either.
