Examples of AI agents

Examples of AI agents are the tasks companies hand over first: work that comes back every week, that has fixed steps, and whose result someone still wants to see.

The abstract part is quickly told; what matters is what an agent actually does on a Monday morning. Below is the work companies hand over first.

Administration

Purchase invoices from the mail. Invoices arrive in a shared mailbox. The agent reads them, pulls out the details, prepares them in the books and sets the doubtful ones aside. Someone checks them over and books them.

Outstanding items. Who has not paid yet, for how long, and what has been mailed about it before. One overview on Monday morning, instead of three people working it out separately.

Sales

Following up quotes. Five days after a quote there is a message ready, with the quote attached and the earlier exchange worked into it. You read it and send it, or you do not.

Leads from a form. An enquiry from the site comes in, is put into the CRM with the details, and the right colleague gets a nudge.

Customer service

Sorting and preparing mail. Incoming questions are classified and a draft is ready based on what has been answered before. The employee adjusts it and sends it.

Replies to reviews. A new review comes in, a reply is ready. That never goes out by itself — for this kind of task approval is always switched on.

Management and office

A monthly report. Figures from the books, the CRM and the planning brought together in one overview, on the first of every month.

Expiring contracts. Ninety days before a contract or a subscription expires, you get a nudge with the notice period alongside.

That is a selection

There are 154 ready-made tasks waiting, spread across 13 departments. Some are an automation that works through fixed steps, others an AI agent, and some are an assignment you carry out in the Studio.

If your work is not among them, you describe it in plain language and make one yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Which task do companies usually start with?

With something from administration. It comes back every week, it has fixed steps, and you see straight away whether it is right.

Does the work have to be in order first?

Not entirely. It does have to be clear who does what now and where the file comes from. That is exactly what the scan maps out.

How quickly does the first one run?

That depends on the integration. A task on systems the integration is already ready for is quicker than a task on a package that is not connected yet.

Can we have it watch along first?

Yes. You can run a task with approval switched on, so that you see everything for a few weeks before anything goes out without someone in between.
